A place and its surroundings
A local initiative can contribute to maintenance, encounters and shared learning. The effects that actually arise depend on the place and cooperation with the surrounding community.
We want to describe aims and a baseline in advance. Observations can then help establish what changes, for whom and with which unwanted consequences.

Labs can work with neighbours, skilled workers and organisations. Possible work streams and visitors require a realistic budget and attention to infrastructure and capacity.
Policy frameworks and funding
Connect policy and concrete conditions
We seek a conversation about what an initiative wants to do and what it requires. Policy goals are not permission for buildings, residence or land use.
A joint funding application can be explored if a current scheme fits. Partnership, co-financing and legal responsibility must first be clear.

A Lab does not replace a public duty or guarantee jobs, population growth, income or restoration.
Work with feasible aims, appropriate indicators and an agreed evaluation point. Deadlines and effects must be determined for each initiative.
